How to Get Scrap in Build and Defend Your Raft

Scrap is the spend currency that turns a tiny Build and Defend Your Raft spawn boat into walls, guns, and Crafting Table ranks. Raft Pirates’ official loop is collect, expand, upgrade, defend, raid. This page is the collect step only: how Scrap actually arrives, what you should not invent, and where to dump it so the next raid does not empty a pretty, broke deck. Pair it with the Crafting Table spend order and the Shop panel. First-hour timing lives on getting started.

The game is live Roblox PvP (max 18), released 28 July 2026. Other players will steal what you leave in the open. Farm like the chest is already being watched.

Harpoon: the free loop

The HUD prompt Click to shoot harpoon is the gather tool the client actually names. Shoot floating junk, crates, and debris around the starter raft. Fill gather objectives that look like Gathered 0/5. That counter is not flavor; it is the first-hour checklist that pays Scrap and other basics into your inventory.

Stand on a defended lip if you already have one. Swimming off-camera for one extra crate while the chest sits naked is how first-hour boats donate. If Crew is up, one player harpoons while another sits the core. Solo means harvest in short bursts and dump into the table before the next look at other rafts.

We will not invent a hidden “best crate color” or a secret island that the live UI has not shown. If it floats near the boat and the prompt lights up, shoot it.

Shop packs (optional Robux)

The red basket Shop sells Scrap in three visible bundles: 50 / 150 / 500 Scrap for 49 / 249 / 499 Robux. Those prices were still on the live panel in late August 2026 screenshots. Packs skip grind. They do not skip the ranking: feed the Crafting Table, then walls, then a raid kit. Buying 500 Scrap and spending it on a decorative pier is still a bad sink. The Shop page is the panel walkthrough; this page only cares that packs exist and are optional.

You can finish the full PvP loop without paying. Packs are a time skip, not a win button.

Codes (still empty on 3 Sep 2026)

The same Shop panel has a Redeem Codes field (Enter code here..). GameRant’s 31 August 2026 check listed no working codes and no expired archive. We rechecked that public list on 3 September 2026; it was still empty. Codes, when they exist, are posted in the Community Server named in-game and hinted via @valtkins. Redeem only in the client. Spend a real string using code rewards — table first. Do not stall the harpoon typing year-tags.

Free Reward cannon

The right-side Free Reward cannon is a claim widget on the live HUD. Claim it when it is ready. Treat it as a small top-up, not a farm. It does not replace gather objectives or the table.

What to spend Scrap on

1. Crafting Table upgrades that unlock gear — the official multiplier.
2. Walls, spikes, cannons around loot once those pieces exist.
3. Raid kit only if a named sitter is holding the home deck. See raid roles.
4. Floor and flags last. Extra tiles are walking paths for raiders.

If you are behind on Scrap, the honest answers are more harpoon time, a teammate on Crew, or one Shop pack. Scripts that promise infinite Scrap are how accounts disappear; read script safety instead of pasting a loadstring.

After a Saturday (and the 2 Sep client bump)

Patches advertise every Saturday. The Roblox universe also showed a client update on 2 September 2026 (a Wednesday). We do not have public notes for that bump. After any update, reopen Shop to confirm pack prices, shoot the harpoon once to confirm the prompt still works, and glance at the latest client update page. Then farm. Scrap rules do not change because a version number moved.

Harpoon junk, fill the gather counter, claim Free Reward, ignore empty code rumors, and dump the pile into the table before the next raid timer. That is how you get Scrap in this game — not a fake island, not a GUI.
