Build and Defend Your Raft Strategy tier list

Build and Defend Your Raft is a live Roblox experience by Raft Pirates. It released on 28 July 2026 as online PvP on shared servers, with a max of 18 players. You start on a tiny wooden deck, pull scrap with a harpoon, raise a Crafting Table, and either hold that raft or board someone else’s. Saturday patches can shuffle the feel of a defense overnight. This hub therefore ranks strategies, not invented item IDs. Public recipe lists are incomplete. Anyone posting a full damage table for unpublished parts is guessing.

How the letters work

We score a plan on three tests: does it survive a raid window, does it feed the next Crafting Table step, and can a small crew run it without a perfect roster? S means default this on a fresh server. A wins in the right hour. B is honest work. C looks good in screenshots and fails when the timer hits. F is a trap.

Ranks split across three child pages so walls, kits, and floor plans do not share a fake ladder:

• Defense rankings cover walls, cannons, spikes, and loot placement around the raid loop.
• Weapon rankings split harpoon gathering kits from raid kits and turtle kits.
• Raft build rankings compare compact fortresses, wide decks, and Hour-100 mansions.

Read them together. A cannon line without a deck plan is expensive wood. A mansion without spike coverage is a loot pinata. If you want the loop instead of letters, use how to defend your raft.

What official art actually shows

Promo shots show cannons, spikes, chests, and multi-story rafts, plus Hour 1 versus Hour 100. That is enough to rank placement ideas. It is not enough to publish fake health numbers, scrap costs, or keybinds. We will not invent those. When a Saturday patch lands, re-check the live Crafting Table in-game before you trust last week’s S-tier tweet.

One-pass S through F

S — compact defended core. Small footprint, chest off the outer plank, cannon covering the obvious board angle, spikes on the lip. Crew can still harpoon from the edge. This is the Hour-1 through Hour-20 default.

A — staged expansion. Grow only after the last ring is actually defended. Empty wide decks are not A-tier. Wide decks that buy time for gatherers are.

B — raid-first kits. Fine if your crew is the one leaving. Bad if the home raft is a flat rectangle with a chest in the open.

C — cosmetic height. Extra stories look like Hour 100. They also create climb paths and dead angles. Height is a tool, not a trophy.

F — loot on the welcome mat. Chests on the outer deck, no spikes, cannons pointing at empty water, and a crew that all jumped off to raid at once.

Shop scrap packs (50 / 150 / 500 scrap for 49 / 249 / 499 Robux) skip grind. They do not change which layout is S-tier. Codes live in the Shop redeem field; as of 31 August 2026 none were working. Do not buy a pack because a graphic claimed an unpublished recipe is meta.

Using the list in a session

Favorite the Roblox page, skim Saturday notes, then open the child list that matches tonight’s plan. Holding? Start on defenses. Boarding? Start on weapons. Long timer and a calm server? Look at raft builds before you spend an hour on a mansion you cannot staff.

The Crew button, the timer, gather objectives, and the Free Reward cannon all beat a pretty letter. Assign who harpoons, who sits the cannon, and who watches the chest before the first raid ping. Then let the letters argue with the clock, not with each other.

Treat this meta as a weather report. S-tier is what we would build on a new server this week, knowing Raft Pirates ships updates every Saturday. If a patch names a defense or a shop bundle, come back and demote anything that only worked because nobody else practiced it yet.
