Build and Defend Your Raft Raid checklist

Use this checklist on a live Roblox PvP server (max 18). Build and Defend Your Raft shipped on 28 July 2026 from Raft Pirates. It is not a damage calculator. It is the sequence that stops you donating a chest because everyone wanted to board. Run it out loud. Pair the ticks with how to raid, how to defend, and raid crew roles.

Pre-raid

Crew

• Crew button open. You can see names.
• A defender is named and has agreed to stay.
• A harpoon gatherer is named, or you accepted that gather pauses.
• Raiders know they are raiders, not “everyone.”

If you are solo, pre-raid means “is my own lip closed, and is this board short enough that I can return?” If the answer is no, skip.

Home defenses

• Chest is inward, not on the outer plank.
• Spikes face the real board step.
• Cannon covers that step. Free Reward cannon is placed if you claimed it.
• Harpoon perch is inside the lip.
• Footprint matches crew size. No unstaffed second story.

Timer and objectives

• You looked at the timer like a budget.
• Gather objectives will not strand the sitter if they ping mid-board.
• Saturday: you already opened Shop and Crafting Table if it is patch day.

Shop (optional)

• Redeem field checked. As of 31 August 2026, no working codes.
• Scrap packs only if the table is starving (50 / 150 / 500 for 49 / 249 / 499 Robux). Packs do not replace a sitter.

Do not start a raid to “feel the patch.” Walk the lip first.

Mid-raid

On the way

• Home still has a name on deck. If the sitter bailed, abort.
• You did not take the only harpoon if gather still matters.
• You still know the timer.

On their lip

• You are stealing loot, not sightseeing the mansion.
• If the chest is hidden behind a real core, leave earlier than your ego wants.
• Do not chase into water while your own boat is unsupervised.
• Watch for their cannon angle. Official art is full of barrels for a reason.

Callouts

• “Sitting.”
• “Boarding.”
• “Coming back.”
• “Abort.”

If chat is silent, you do not have a crew. You have parallel swimmers. Read raid crew roles after you wipe, not during.

Mid-raid is also when people invent jobs. There is no public class called tank. There is a person on the cannon. Keep it that simple. Full boarding habits live in how to raid.

Post-raid

Loot

• Stolen scrap goes inward on your raft, not onto a decorative dock.
• Crafting Table gets the first spend if a wall is missing.
• You did not park a chest on the lip “just for a second.”

Home repair

• Walk the board line like a raider.
• Reset cannon angle if the raft moved.
• Replace spikes you or the enemy ate.
• Confirm the sitter got a break or a rotation.

People

• Crew button still matches reality.
• Next job named: gather, sit, or another raid.
• If someone wants to hunt Meet Frank now, that is a different session. Badge hunts do not override a broken lip.

Notes after Saturday patches

• Screenshot the table if a row looks new.
• Do not trust a comment-section buff list.
• Run how to defend if the new piece changed the board line.

Red lights that cancel the board

• No sitter.
• Chest on the welcome mat.
• Whole crew already in the water.
• Patch window, Shop unopened, table unopened.
• Someone is installing an executor “for auto raid.” Stop the session and read safety later.

Green lights are boring: named sitter, hidden box, spiked lip, timer known, one or two raiders, a plan to dump loot inward. Boring wins on a max-18 map.

How to run this without a printout

The first week, say every tick. The second week, say Crew, chest, lip, timer. After that, the checklist is a reflex. When you wipe, return to the long list. Tools on this wiki stay checklists until Raft Pirates publishes numbers worth calculating.

If your group refuses to tick boxes, you do not need a better cannon. You need fewer raiders. Put this page in the party chat, assign raid crew roles, and only then jump. The timer is very good at grading crews that skipped the list.
